At LevelUp Kids, we believe every child deserves the dignity of a healthy smile and clear vision. For over 20 years, our mission has been simple: to remove barriers to healthcare for low-income children by providing free, high-quality dental and vision care — both in schools and at our community-based offices.

But today, we’ve outgrown our space.

Demand for services is rising. Wait times for advanced dental care at local agencies stretch up to 8 months. Our vision and dental teams operate in separate facilities, creating logistical challenges for families and limiting how many children we can serve efficiently. It’s time to unite, expand, and grow.

This is more than a renovation. It’s a reimagining of care.

The Need is Urgent

  • We currently serve over 5,000 children annually.
    • Since inception, we’ve served more than 30,000 kids in Kansas City.
    • Our school-based programs now reach 45+ schools.
    • In the last two years, we treated 13% more children than ever before.

    Despite this success, too many children still face the long-term consequences of unmet health needs:

    - Tooth decay, ear infections, and poor sleep
    - Permanent vision loss and poor academic performance
    - Weakened immune systems, and even heart and lung disease

    By expanding our physical space, we can reduce wait times, double our impact, and give every child a stronger start.


    • Our Growth Plan

    We are raising $2 million toward the renovation and build-out of an 8,000–10,000 sq. ft. facility inside a public health building. This centrally located, leased space will become a hub for child-centered care.

    The new facility will feature:
    - 8 dental exam rooms, including one for sedation and surgeries
    - 2 optometry rooms and an optical fitting area
    - Secure parking for mobile service vans
    - A conference/multi-use room for board, staff, and community use
    - Dedicated space for local partners: food pantry, hearing screenings, wellness services
    - Kid-friendly spaces to support calm and dignity during appointments

    This new space will enhance collaboration, improve operational efficiency, and allow us to deliver more services to more children, with greater impact.
